Inspiration

We were inspired by all of the escape and puzzle games that we grew up playing, and still enjoy. And we want to create something like that to bring thoughts and fun to other people.

What it does

Our game is an escape game where you have to solve puzzles to get out. Players can interact with buttons on the screen to explore different parts of the game. Players can learn different thinking processes while also having fun.

How we built it

First, we brainstormed what we wanted to create, and, once we decided on an escape game, we started designing the overall outlook and images. We built the index page design first, then we added interactive buttons and applied similar strategies to the other pages.

Challenges we ran into

Our challenge was aligning the text and buttons to where we want. We also struggled with making the UI design more digestible. We tried out many combinations and tested the code to see what works and what doesn't.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of building a functioning game. Besides that, we are also very happy to come up with the puzzles in the game and present our ideas to the users. We also created some bonus designs in the game so users have more free room to explore, which is also something we are very proud of.

What we learned

We figured out how to create a design from scratch, and how to transform ideas into workable code. We improved on our collaboration, and were able to share and compromise our ideas with each other to build our final game.

What's next for The PSK Escape Room

If possible, we would want to make the game more interactive and add more puzzles to it. We would also add more levels of varying difficulty so that people can personalize their experience a bit more. In addition, we want to create a login page so people can save their different progresses at different levels and see what each of them have achieved so far.
