The Project Napoléon

Inspiration

We found today's NFT market is boring, and no matter it's GameFi or other stuff is hard to solve the issues of market liquidity. So we want to build next generation of NFT, to add much more ways for people to play, to create this models and to standardise new NFTs' contract structures.

What it does

You can have an enhanced version SFT (ERC-3525) with ERC-2535, not only with balance but also more interesting functions such like merge, split, staking etc. The ultimate goals of this project are not the main direction to create more ERC-xxxx, it's to use whatever the best available EIPs to build an useful and interesting model for next generation of NFT. Because we believe one new ERC proposal is not enough to make next gen NFT.

How we built it

For the first leg of the project: We made lot of work which is based on ERC-3525 x ERC-2535 to make a powerful enhanced version with much more functions to make improvements for NFT, we believe people would like to merge, split their SFTs.

Challenges we ran into

There are lot of ideas and functions we want to make during the limited hackathon period, so one of the biggest challenge is we reach the limited of contrat size 24kB quickly for ERC-3525, we were struggling to make a better version with ERC-2535 in order to make much more extensions into our contract sections. We have to proposal a interface during the limited period, so we divided our team into 2 parts to make things possible. We still have some ideas to be done to this project, so ERC-2535 implementation is worthful. that's why we spent some time in this part

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We presented the very early version of this project to France National Mobility and Meet You Museum and they like the conception of project, so we got the official license for Napoleon exposition related NFT/NFR distributions rights.

What we learned

Beside the ERC-2535 x enhanced ERC-3525 contract experiences, we've also got lot of experiences for Chainlink VRF which we've never used it before the project, it's a very valuable utilisation for our Robo-Box related stuff in the future.

What's next for The Project Napoléon

We will collaborate the 'Napoléon exposition' from 2024 on to 2025, we aim to make next generation of NFT with not only merge, split and staking, we try to make much more ideas to the project. Meanwhile, we try to make a really extensible and general model for next gen NFT. It's just a beginning...
