Inspiration

Many teachers have to use outdated methods of tracking students grades like using cluttered mark books and spreadsheets which leave them having to calculate class averages themselves. That is why I have created the professor desk. It allows teachers to keep track of students marks really easily and without fuss.

What it does

The professor desk allows teachers to add students and calculate the results they can add as many students as they wish. They can add assessment for the students and input the name of the assessment the waiting of the assessments and the results of the assessment. The average grade of that students for the course will then be calculated in real time. Teachers can see a summary of all the results for each student. This summary will contain the highest and lowest marks received, and they can input the target grade and will be told what score the student needs for the rest of the course in order to achieve that target grade.

How we built it

Application without using JavaScript to handle the main functions and calculations, CSS for the styling, grunt for JavaScript task management, and Hogan for the UI on the first page.

Challenges we ran into

Sadly all of my devpost submission did not save so I had to redo the submission last minute that is why this is very brief haha. But I really struggled to get the target grade calculation to work in real time (without needing to refresh the page) so I am very happy that I managed to achieve that.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm very proud of completing this web application whilst also participating in a physics Boot Camp this weekend. I also think that the functions are much more advanced and I have ever used before so I learnt a lot in creating this application
