About the Project
Inspiration
We wanted to explore how far AI can take filmmaking when technology becomes part of the creative process. Our goal was to create a short film where AI is meaningfully involved in the story, visuals, characters, voice, music, and editing, while keeping the human creative direction at the center.
How We Built It
We started with the story concept and developed the screenplay, characters, and scene structure. AI tools were then used to generate and refine visual assets, character voices, music, sound effects, and cinematic sequences. We combined these elements through editing and post-production to create one coherent short film.
What We Learned
The project taught us that AI filmmaking is not simply about generating individual images or clips. The real challenge is maintaining character consistency, visual continuity, storytelling, pacing, emotion, and sound synchronization across the entire film.
Challenges
Our biggest challenges were maintaining consistent characters and environments between scenes, generating useful cinematic footage from prompts, synchronizing audio with visuals, and turning independently generated AI outputs into a cohesive story.
Outcome
The project demonstrates how AI can reduce traditional filmmaking barriers and give creators new ways to experiment with storytelling, visual design, sound, and production.
