The Pride Extension

This is an extension to support LGBTQ community. The extension provides information about the community, a calendar of events, and ways to locate gay-safe cafes, restaurants, and shops.

This project was inspired entirely by the LGBTQ community. This initiative is solely intended to assist the LGBTQ community.

What it does

The purpose of this extension is to support the LGBTQ community. You can read the latest news of your community in this extension, you can get assistance in case of an emergency, you can check out the calendar for community events, and you can look for LGBT friendly cafes, restaurants and shops with the help of this extension. Additionally, there is a resource that helps the community seek help in some situations. There is also a guide that helps the community learn more about itself, and the ability to choose your own pronouns as well.

How we built it

I Built it using ReactJS.

Challenges we ran into

The most difficult difficulty I encountered when developing this project is that there are certain features that only work in the web development environment but not in the extension dev environment. I also had a lot of issues with api fetching.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am happy that I accomplished this job in a short period of time and as quickly as possible.

What we learned

In reactJs, I learned about memory routers and i learned a quite about api fetching, and extension creation.

What's next for The Pride Extension

In the future, I will add additional data through api fetching, and I will make it more beautiful just like the lgbtq flag.
