The Platz

Inspiration

The first stage of a person who wants to become a KOL is really difficult, it will be more difficult if they have financial problems and they don't have enough money to complete their project. KOL needs a platform to introduce themselves and show their talents to persuade public. Metaverse will be a perfect place for KOL to approach audiences everywhere in the world and use Blockchain's power to call for investment from the audience publicly and transparently.

What it does

The Platz is the platform for future KOLs to bring themselves to the public. Early fans could “invest” in them and shares future values with their KOLs. In other words, The Platz is a IKO platform (Initial KOLs Offerings). With The Platz, a future KOL with limited fans will become a real KOL with a significant amount of fans. And finally, they become a celebrity with a huge number of fans. KOLs can call for capital from the community in order to: learn specialized skills, host a show/concert, make Music Videos, buy musical instruments... Supporters who "invest" for their future KOLs will have an amount of royalty points. Those points are used for purchase/claim tickets or see first the exclusive digital contents. KOLs can also release NFT on the platform and the supporters can buy them and trade them on the platform's marketplace (marketplace is out of scope in this hackathon).

How we built it

This platform is released on NEAR Protocol blockchain platform. Business logics are implemented by NEAR smart contract platform.

Challenges we ran into

NEAR smart contract is new to us and we need to find out the way to fit our business model. NEAR blockchain platform isn't popular as Ethereum or Bitcoin. We have to convince user to switch to nEAR.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Every campaign could be deployed dynamically based on user’s input data. We offer a customized campaign contract that fits to user needs.

What we learned

We learned how to integrate NEAR into our business model and it could be spread to Ethereum using Aurora bridge.

What's next for The Platz

We aim to be a clone version (but better) of Tiktok with following new features:

Anyone with some talents or specializations could share their own digital contents in many fields: education, farming, entertainment,... and call for capitals from the community.
Supporters choose their "future KOLs" to invest and share the future values with the future KOLs.
Shows/concerts/seminars/tutorials/courses could be sold on the platform and people could buy tickets to join (like Netflix, Coursera, Udemy...).
Develop/integrate to a metaverse and hosts shows/concerts/exhibitions regardless of geographical restrictions.
