Inspiration
Our inspiration comes from the famous mobile games that have redefined our generation. Games like "Doodle Jumper" and "Geometry Dash".
What it does
Our game has a simple goal. Reach the top. It doesn't matter how long it takes or which route you decide as long as you get there.
How I built it
We decided to utilize our collective experience with Java to further expand our understanding and practice with the language. We used Jframe containers and panels to encase the game.
Challenges I ran into
None of us had ever made a game so the first phase of the Hackathon was spent researching and understanding what it is we needed to do. Additionally, our experience with Github and Git was minimal to say the least. Yet this proved a very important exercise for all of us since we now hold a deeper appreciation for Git and its usefulness.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Personally I know I am proud of finishing our project and actually have something to present after 24 hours.
What I learned
The most important thing I learned is probably the usefulness of Git and Github.
What's next for The Platform Climber
Who knows! Maybe Google buys it.
