Inspiration
The Pitch was inspired by job hiring feeds such as Handshake and LinkedIn.
What it does
The Pitch allows screenwriters, producers, and directors to post scripts, discover new pieces of work, and collaborate with others. Users can create an account, log into an existing account, or browse as a guest. After choosing their role (screenwriter, producer, or director), they have the option to explore. Screenwriters can pitch a script idea, browse for collaborators, and browse for ideas. Producers can search for scripts, browse for collaborators, and browse for directors. Finally, directors can search for scripts, browse for collaborators, and browse for producers.
How we built it
We used Python, Tkinter, and SQL to create our app.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into challenges connecting to our feeds as well as creating adequate databases to store account information.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our UI and UX design. We are also proud that we were able to create a successful database for our feed.
What we learned
We learned how to Tkinter as well as implementing SQL into Python to create a database. During the production of this app, we also refreshed our skills of collaborating on GitHub.
What's next for The Pitch
