Inspiration In my daily practice, I produce dozens of reports that must be medically accurate, tailored to each situation, yet still follow fundamental principles reflecting the procedures performed in the operating room. These documents are of vital medical and legal importance and must be as comprehensive as possible.

However, it is not feasible to write each report from scratch. Using standard templates often leads to numerous errors, oversights, or failures to properly adapt the content. This can have serious consequences, both for patient care and from a legal standpoint.

What it does I wanted to create a website that brings together the surgical report templates I use daily, with multiple pre-selectable variables that allow each report to be adapted to the specific situation.

How we built it Using an online platform makes it possible not only to create multiple report templates, but also to modify them as modular building blocks—like Lego pieces—that can be adapted and reused across different templates.

Challenges we ran into The challenge was to be sufficiently comprehensive for each surgical report while also limiting complexity to avoid getting lost in excessive detail. Each template had to be broken down into reusable components so that these blocks could be applied across different reports. Additionally, each surgeon can modify individual components, allowing them to tailor all their reports to their own methods and techniques.

Accomplishments that we're proud of The platform is functional and user-friendly. It allows users, in just a few lines, to create or modify a report so that it always reflects the specifics of the surgical procedure performed.

What's next for The Perfect Report for Each Surgical Intervention I plan to share this platform within my community to bring together a network of surgeons and achieve comprehensive coverage of all activities within my specialty.
