The Patch Update at the End of the Universe

A surreal, Douglas Adams–inspired short film about what happens when the universe schedules a patch update. Cosmic IT errors, bored robots, and one very confused man with a mug of tea.

Inspiration

This project is an original story based on the Douglas Adam's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. I wanted to retain the style of the original radio series and books, and so made it strong on narration, absurdity and humour.

I also wanted to explore mixing AI content with some live action - this was both an opportunity to allow more control over the content, but also challenging to match up content from two sources.
