Inspiration

The theme for this year's rowdy hacks is what inspired me to create this game. Other factors like space invaders and old school platformer games like mario also gave me insporation.

What it does

Play as a outlaw, collecting coins for your pockets and killing the last aliens on mars

How we built it

I used aseprite to design the art, and programmed it in unity using C#

Challenges we ran into

Since time was heavily limited, character animations was something that I struggle with since I was drawing my own sprites/art.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The color palette that was used to capture that space/mars feeling while also getting that desert outlaw feel.

What we learned

Making a game in less than 24 hours was very challenging. It has taught me to focus, find shortcuts and work efficiently under pressure.

What's next for The Outlaw

As of now, there is nothing planned for this game but damn was this fun and intense.
