Inspiration
Many people struggle to make high-stakes decisions because advice is often vague, biased, or unstructured. We wanted to build a system that treats decisions as analytical problems, not casual conversations. This led to THE ORACLE, a structured AI decision-reasoning assistant.
What it does
THE ORACLE analyzes complex decisions by extracting constraints, generating multiple strategic options, simulating short-term and long-term outcomes, and scoring each option on feasibility, risk, impact, and opportunity cost. The results are presented in a clear, decision-focused layout.
How we built it
The project is powered by the Gemini 3 Pro API, selected for its strong reasoning capabilities. We designed a system-level prompt to enforce structured analysis over chat-style responses and built a responsive UI that adapts across devices while preserving analytical clarity.
Challenges we ran into
Key challenges included controlling response verbosity, improving perceived responsiveness, and designing a UI that communicates complex analysis without overwhelming users. These were addressed through prompt optimization, model selection, and iterative interface refinement. Accomplishments that we're proud of A working decision-reasoning system with consistent analytical output Clear scoring and comparison of strategic options A responsive, device-adaptive interface What we learned We learned how prompt architecture directly affects reasoning quality, how to balance depth with speed, and how UX design influences trust in AI-generated decisions.
What's next for THE ORACLE
We plan to improve multilingual support, enhance real-time responsiveness, and expand Oracle into a full decision-intelligence platform for founders, teams, and institutions
