Inspiration
The inspiration for our project came from the idea that the key theme we had to target was working from home, and as students who especially experienced this last year, having learnt and endured all the difficulties that came with this experience, we wanted our web application to make a more positive impact on the lives of other students who are struggling in these conditions and to help them.
What it does
Our web application is a guide to improving your learning from home experience, with tips, steps and videos and other resources to help you. In addition, it contains vital information to help make the reader more aware of the importance of what this web application has to show for and hence increasing the benefit on the reader. Finally, it also has resource data base with resources/information sites to help students.
How we built it
We built this program through the version control system, Github, in which we made our own repository so we could collaborate with each other when we would code, while we used visual studio code to actually code the program, of which we did in html and css. For our content, we made a word doc, detailing our plans for the web applications and what would be on each page and then also the actual content/information to put onto our web application.
Challenges we ran into
The main challenge was actually learning how to use html and css and being able to understand the applications of the programming and how we would use to make our web applications, as to a certain extent, all the possible styling properties that can be used in css can be a bit confusing, as an example of a challenge with the unfamiliar programming language.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Being able to create a web application that is not only useful, but has a lot of content that is well researched and is well designed.
What we learned
The main thing that was learnt from this project was just html and css in general and how to use it and in what best methods possible.
What's next for The Online Study Guide by The Cliche Hackers
The web applications would be published an released on the internet for users to see and use.
