Spreading infection is more dangerous to society from the disease itself. The lack of infection control methods and the absence of awareness makes it impossible to reach zero-number of cases.
Motivation to choose this problem
As there isn’t a known vaccine for the virus yet. The only way we have to control the virus is controlling the number of cases. This doesn’t only help in reaching zero-cases but also provides more places in hospitals for infected people. Resulting an increase in the probability of reducing deaths and increasing number of recoveries.
Solution statement
Rising people's awareness about the means of infection. Also, Aiding them to lower their probability in getting infected. Provide professional treatment protocols for home/self-treatment.
Other solutions
The main solution proposed for such an infection control focused on awareness. So, it provided many methods of awareness to the people such as media, public advertisement, person-to-person awareness. The problem with this solution is that it didn’t offer a reliable solution to the individuals who don’t have the luxury to stay at home to continue their lives bedside being protected as much as they can. So people couldn’t benefit from those solutions as they were supposed to do, resulting in the same existing problem of lack of control on the number of cases. Our solution provides a reliable way to every individual to keep themselves protected and control the infection beside going to work or exams. It will provide an aid to each one to be aware of all the risks and how to avoid it and keep themselves safe.
Solution Pitch
According to WHO, Effective infection prevention and control reduces health care-associated infections by at least 30%. In order to control the number of infections, awareness should be given to people in a prober and handy way.
The solution will be an application providing an inclusive aid for people to prevent infection and help them with self-treatment in case of infection. It will cover all the possible ways for infection and tell people how to protect themselves. First, the application will display the most crowded places near you and what places to avoid going to. Second, display the alternative ways of transportations to the wanted places while considering the price and effort to reach your place. It will be connected to nearby supermarkets, groceries, and pharmacies giving you the chance to order anything and stay at home. Also, it will offer the best places and best prices to deliver your needs to home. It will also provide general advice to avoid possible ways of infections and displays reminders of personal protection such as : wearing and changing the mask, washing hands, and keeping your hands away from the face. The tracking system in the app will track your every day’s activities and general health.
The second part of the app will be in case of infection. It will display for you places for infection detection. The tracking system will choose a professional protocol with the hospital and track your medication times and general health.
The solution will cover almost every person who has internet access in Egypt, resulting in a large-scale effect through people. As self-infection control is the most relied on method globally, this solution will have an enormous impact in reducing the total number of cases in the country. As it will provide a complete personal aid against infection and it will work in small scale to influence the greater good.
Most valuable customers (MVCs)
In this pandemic, all the population regardless of the social and economic status are affected. One of the key reasons for the quick spread of the virus, however, is social physical contact. Although some people are staying at home, many aren’t due to lack of awareness and the obligation to physically exist at work. Thus our target or most valuable customers are the workers who couldn’t switch to online work and need to understand how to act wisely to reduce the possibility of infection. Also, another MVC we are targeting is college students, since our solution is mainly technology based and is focusing on awareness, so targeting college students will increase our chances to reach different homes and spread the awareness inside these homes through our MVC.
To further understand their needs, we will perform a thorough search to understand their work and lifestyle. After searching the industries that have workers in an offline environment, we will reach out giving examples of what our solution offers and deliver our product to managers and colleges so their employees and students know of this tool that will navigate them and give them ideas on how to act and reduce infection.
Innovation and value proposition
Current application tools that are aiding to help inform users and raise awareness are mainly focusing on basic health action (washing hands, sanitizing, etc) and providing medical suggestions and advice in time of suspect of COVID-19 infection such as NHS. Our application, however, is focusing on the daily life of people in need for a plan to sustain their life in the pandemic. Our application does not only give advice about how to follow effective health habits, it also provides advice on how and where and what to do when you need to go out of your home. Not all of us have the luxury to stay at home, so we are trying to help those who are fighting to stay healthy out there in the streets.

The Platform which combines among the services for both patient and cautious or careful people by multiple ways guarantees inclusivity. These services depend on several technologies applications, The module of the cautious people which is navigating the crowding roads, areas and traffic jam depends on Global Broadcast service (GBS) . GBS data which collected from connected personal navigation devices, smart phones and cars dashboard systems and all the data gets updated each few minutes and merged to generate precise real-time traffic information to calculate the delay time . then, recommending some faster alternative ways to avoid the traffic jam And therefore decreasing the chances for the infection . Also The module of giving medicine protocol depending on symptoms and the most common areas for the virus depends on collecting a huge database in addition to some algotherm which search for the patient for his case based on the recent searches symptoms or deciding the most likely areas to carry the virus based on quarantine hospitals areas.
The impact of your solution on people’s life
The solution will affect the overall number of cases in the country. As the main influences focus on the butterfly effect. So it will work on the small scale of an individual in order to affect the whole population. If every person has a strong awareness background beside an automated tracking system that tracks their activities and reduces the risks. The results of the solution will appear in the short term as every individual has their distance, proper transportation method and personal infection control to reduce the personal risk. This will result in the long-term target of reducing the number of cases. Also, the lack of methods of self/ home treatment will be solved to reduce the number of deaths and increase the number of recoveries.
Sustainability
Being careful is a must so, In the long run people need to navigate the crowding roads to avoid illness infection. Also taking a proper medicine protocol is frequently required based on doctors evaluation for certain symptoms.In addition to developing other modules like events for appreciating doctors by making psychological sessions in agreement with doctor syndicates.
Scalability
However the product is made to be expanded through the population, it plans to have a database to connect doctors with patients for more professional personal/home treatment. The database will also connect patents with each other to provide more aid in the mental health for each and everyone through the pandemic. In order to help people to coup with the current situations. This is because the personal infection control methods can result in mental health issues in the long run. So it will be the application job to aid the individuals and also keep their mental health safe and healthy.
