Inspiration -- My main source of inspiration for this project drove from the surrounding, seeing the younger generation and even all forcing and trying hard enough to sustain or gain a position in their respective career goals and try to fit in the society this overall ,the competitive mindset unknowingly makes them the victim of mental health : Depression,anxiety,panic attacks and etc. This hurdles our pace and potential to work and live peacefully. This section of health is successfully ignored in the society but should be worked on to make it impactful and for better living.

What it does-- It Analyse the data from general survey ,sorts it and consider and rejects the non affecting features relating mental issues and then finds total actual cause of the mental health and analyse the section facing it much of it and plots on basis of dataset concluding by the prediction of potential variables/major source of cause for mental illness such as Unemployment, Education, Income and proving it further.

How we built it-- We started this idea as a self project and planned to extend this to broad level while compiling more to it . It is built on the base of python and by importing the packages and libraries such as NumPy, pandas, Matplotlib , seaborne,Scikit learn,Scipy . The dataset extracted is from the general mental health survey in recent years of country United States (Including different origin people also not specific to British origin) by some Health-Care awareness camp/ Organization and posted for public access of data.

Challenges we ran into- ==The main challenge was to extract the datasheet as it contains a lot of variable some were of invalid point==

  • So firstly we had to sort the data altogether, selection and deselection of items from it to merge. ---
    • Secondly ,the other challenge was to code and compute being a beginner to the project hackathon.
    • Time Management

Accomplishments that we're proud of-- Implementation of the idea and participating in Hacklytics 2023 , accomplishment of skills and practical application specially contributing to cause makes it a moment of proud.

What we learned-- a great experience to use kaggle and git on a hackathon at the first hand and also to explore all the available sponsors. We will include those in future to make it more impactful solution. So , the hacklyctis gave the platform to apply theoretical to practical application of real life data set.

What's next for The Mending Garden-- In mere future while having a command on more skills will try to connect this project to a website and make it open for public while addressing each and every user personal 2-3 min personal assessment and predicting and analyzing with most accuracy % and suggesting general methods to reduce the stress or any mental health issues while next step to it would be implementation of a chat-bot to it where the user can write the stress or their general issues while the bot giving them ray of positivity and try a level best to encourage them because sometimes All we need is motivation and someone to listen to you without judging us .
