Inspiration- The inspiration behind The Loss of Angels came from the thought of how a single moment of innocence, stubbornness, or love can change the course of life forever. I wanted to capture the fragile bond between a daughter and her father and show how small decisions can have unimaginable consequences. The story also reflects real-world tragedies, where disasters leave behind scars that are emotional as much as physical.

What it does- The project tells the fictional story of Angel, a 10-year-old girl from Los Angeles who experiences the devastating loss of her father in a tragic fire accident. Through disturbing yet emotional visuals and a heartfelt ending song, the project highlights themes of love, sorrow, regret, and family struggles. It emphasizes how society often overlooks the silent suffering of others.

How we built it- The story was conceptualized as a deeply emotional narrative designed for visual storytelling.

Writing & Storyboarding: The narrative was carefully crafted to balance emotion with realism.

AI Tools: AI was used to enhance visuals, sound, and atmosphere, giving life to the fire accident scenes and Angel’s emotions.

Music & Song: A sorrowful song was integrated at the end, representing Angel’s love and regret.

Challenges we ran into- Emotional Weight: Conveying a child’s raw emotions in a respectful yet powerful way was challenging.

Visual Tone: Balancing disturbing disaster visuals with meaningful storytelling.

Technical Limitations: Bringing together AI-generated visuals, sound, and narrative flow required experimentation.
