Inspiration
There is lot of student run businesses, events, and pop-ups that we might not be aware of. We wanted a platform where students can find them and support each other. Also we wanted to make it so that student can also promote their own business, events, and pop-ups.
What it does
The website asks for the user's .edu mail so we can make sure it is students only and then it displays events, and businesses in the loop area. Additionally, it allows users to input events and businesses themselves.
How we built it
We used python flask for the back-end
Challenges we ran into
This was both our first full project from scratch so we both lacked some experiences. We lack lot of knowledge about frontend programming so we had to learn while making our website.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Even though our website is still on lower lever and basic we are still proud of ourselves for how far we have come knowing this our first project from scratch. This hackathon was a great experience for the both of us. We still have so much to learn and experiment.
What we learned
We learned a lot since it was our first website ever. We never done frontend programming this much before.
What's next for The Loop Life
We want to improve our knowledge with html and css so can improve our website and turn it into an actually usable website and bring our imagination into life.
