Getting a beginner level experience on game development
What it does
Allows the user to play an amazing arcade game and relive the retro experience
How we built it
We built it using the Microsoft MakeCode Arcade editor with the help of python language
Challenges we ran into
We had never tried developing a game before, so this was our first time trying building a game, especially an arcade game.
Microsoft MakeCode Arcade has a very poor intergration with git, so it was a pain in our ass to collaborate together as a team because the team members were not able to merge someone other's branch into their own without the hiccup of resolving too many unnecessary merge conflicts
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to complete our project within time although we had to spend too much time on handeling the issues on MakeCode platform
What we learned
Basics of game development
Learned how to work with pixels and graphics while making the assets for our game
What's next for The Lone Ranger
Adding multiple levels each having different rewards and enemies,
Adding multiple opponents to the game
Giving the user an option to select a one from a set of multiple characters
