What it does

Early intervention initiative program that will give pre teens practical tools to strengthen their identity, sense of self and fortify their mental fitness. It is a strengths based model approach that will provide pre teens practical tools that they can utilised in everyday practice. The program tackles early intervention, health promotion and can be used as an early identifier tool by allied health professionals and parents. By going through the program with the their therapist and/or parents, it will build resilience, help children solidify their identity and help create a life of meaning.

How we built it

Book and treasure map already on the market and gaining traction. From customer feedback ( Aimee at Headspace) realised we had a target market already using the program - Allied Health Professionals in a one- on-one setting with the patient. Therefore we pivoted the target market to this space and parents. The pilot program will be delivering and selling this program initiative to allied health professionals & parents as the consumer, with youth/pre teens being the end user. The program will include the book + treasure map worksheets + therapist companion booklet . The companion booklet will teach & enable the therapist to deliver the program effectively to the child/patient.

Challenges we ran into

  • Only came together as a team and idea 9am this morning
  • Many challenges and changes -pivot, pivot, pivot
  • Understanding who the target market should be, then pivoting the idea and approach from there
  • Working together as a team when we all approach the work in very different manners
  • Being prepared to pivot approach and target market based on mentor advice.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • That we are delivering a program that will have genuine impact on the community

  • GREAT customer feedback, the book and worksheets are already working and being utilised. ## What we learned
