The Lip Song

Inspiration

I wanted to blend reality and ai with available technology in Feb 2025. To try and hide all the smudges, cracks and blemishes of ai image and video without trying to fool the viewer into believing it was real.

What it does

Shows what can be created using this technology with a global appeal to different nationalities and cultures.

How we built it

Using WAN2.1 and Suno

Challenges we ran into

All the early gen Ai issues, including deformity, smudge, clarity and movement problems with large amounts of ‘warping’. This resulted in each shot being made up to 100 times

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Achieving what was set out in the mission goal. A record company executive asking how I found so many actresses with big cosmetic lips to appear in the video.

What we learned

How amazing and versatile ai tech is and how quickly it changes. This would not have been possible in Jan 2025, six weeks before production.
