Before I wrote a single scene or generated a single frame, I began with a simple question:

“What does rain mean to you?”

I asked people across the world. Friends, strangers, adults, children. I invited them to share a memory of rain that felt nostalgic. The responses came in by the hundreds. People described moments of comfort, loss, childhood joy, first love, fear, and renewal. Their stories were honest and emotional. Reading them touched me deeply. They reminded me that rain belongs to everyone, yet feels completely personal to each of us.

Those memories became the emotional foundation of The Life of Rainn.

After that, I moved into visual development. I started with drawing and some simple 3D modelling to explore the shapes, colors, and moods of the world. Once I understood how Rainn and the spirits might look, I began scripting the pilot inside Saga to capture the emotional flow of the episode.

For early visual tone work, I used Dreamina by Capcut. Then I moved into technical production using the new ElevenLabs image and video pipeline. I relied heavily on Seed Dance 4, Veo 3.1, and Kling to craft scenes with reliable motion, atmosphere, and consistency. For character sheets and angle references, I used Fal with the Qwen model to establish stable designs for Rainn, Aya, Veyra, and Kuroto.

Every tool became part of a larger creative process. Scene by scene, I combined traditional storytelling with advanced AI assistance. I learned how to maintain visual continuity, how to guide animation principles, and how to create a full emotional arc using a hybrid workflow.

Creating this episode has been a lifelong dream for me. Bringing Rainn into existence, shaping her world, and giving her a voice was an unforgettable experience. It feels like the first chapter of something much larger.

I plan for The Life of Rainn to grow into a long running series. I am grateful to the Chroma competition for giving me the push I needed to take this project from imagination to reality.
