In my storytelling, I prefer to keep my message vague and open to interpretation. This time was no different, but any fellow cosmic horror fan will likely have no trouble picking up the key elements. The main theme, the legend of the Holy Grail, while traditionally depicted in an epic, poetic setting, is something I always found somewhat unsettling. And for an avid horror fan like myself, unsettling means incredibly inspiring!
The project is a mix of AI technology and CG and video editing process. The real challenge and a learning experience was to create the video without smashing the 'Generate' button a thousands times, and instead use the image editing skills to steer the generative models into the right direction. This approach worked, and while the output is far from perfect - after all, this was a solo work of a first timer so there is still lots to be learned - it feels like just the right way to use the AI to boost human skill and creativity, rather than replace it.
What's next? It depends. My preferred storytelling medium are games, but I did enjoy creating the film, so there may be a mix of that in the future.
