Single Use Plastic is a public and environmental health hazard.

We can reduce our consumption of single use plastic at restaurants if we know which are avoiding, eliminating, or reducing the single use plastic they pass on to the customer---you.

Plastic pollution is persistent and accumulates in the food chain. It is a problem of immense proportions, but you can chip away at this problem. Collect single use plastic data at our local restaurants. The long term goal of this project is to create an app to help you select a local restaurant using less single use plastic or recycling or composting its single use plastic.

To collect data, visit the Houston Sierra Club facebook page and click on the pinned google form to begin surveying. It’s easy and fun to do. You can fill out a new form each time you visit a new restaurant by re-visiting our website at https://www.facebook.com/HSCenvironment. If you have any questions, email iamespike@gmail.com.
