Inspiration
The Last Sec" draws its inspiration from a blend of classic action films and high-stakes tactical games. The intense pressure of having limited time to achieve critical objectives is a core element, inspired by scenes in movies where heroes race against the clock to defuse bombs, save hostages, or thwart catastrophic plans. This urgency creates an exhilarating experience that keeps players on the edge of their seats.
What it does
Engage in Intense Combat: Face off against a variety of enemies, each with unique abilities and tactics. Utilize an extensive arsenal of weapons, from pistols to high-powered rifles, to defeat your foes.
Navigate Dynamic Environments: Traverse through diverse levels, including urban landscapes, dense forests, and enemy fortresses. Each environment presents unique challenges and obstacles that require quick thinking and adaptability.
How we built it
Figma: The initial concepts, wireframes, and user interface designs were crafted using Figma. This collaborative design tool allowed the team to create detailed mockups and prototypes, ensuring a seamless and intuitive player experience.
Adobe Photoshop: For more intricate visual elements, character designs, and environmental art, Adobe Photoshop was used. This powerful tool enabled the creation of high-quality textures, backgrounds, and other graphical assets that enhance the game's visual appeal.
Challenges we ran into
Time Constraints: Challenge: Meeting tight deadlines for each development phase, from concept to final release. Solution: Implementing effective project management practices, breaking tasks into smaller milestones, and using agile methodologies to adapt to changes quickly.
Balancing Performance and Quality: Challenge: Ensuring smooth gameplay while maintaining high-quality graphics and audio. Solution: Optimization techniques, such as asset bundling, level of detail (LOD) adjustments, and efficient use of Unity's profiling tools to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
