Inspiration
“The Last Redemption” was inspired by a very personal chapter of my life. Before the fictional zombie apocalypse, the main character reflects the real me — a father who once felt small, defeated, and unable to live up to the expectations of his family.
The zombies, chaos, and collapsing world are metaphors for the inner battles I went through in real life. This project is my way of turning that struggle into something creative, powerful, and meaningful.
What it does
The project is an AI-driven music video that blends: An original rap track telling the emotional journey of a broken father Post-apocalyptic visuals featuring zombies, collapsing fences, fire, and survival scenes Symbolic storytelling, where the end of the world mirrors the character’s rebirth as a stronger man It delivers a blend of emotional narrative + hip-hop energy + cinematic AI imagery.
How we built it
Generated all base images and character shots using Dreamina (text-to-image) Created the singing performance, lip-sync, and expressive close-ups also with Dreamina Converted the images into full-motion cinematic shots using a combination of: Seedance (primary image-to-video, camera movement and environmental motion) Kling AI (smooth motion, realism, and stylistic consistency) Hailuo (additional motion variations and alternative scene takes) Ensured character consistency through iterative Dreamina re-generation + video-to-video correction Assembled all sequences with music timing, color grading, and narrative pacing in CapCut/After Effects Finalized the project with manual refinement, glitch cleanup, and storytelling alignment This workflow allowed complex, chaotic scenes (like zombies climbing fences or collapsing in firelight) while keeping the singer consistent across shots.
Challenges we ran into
Maintaining character consistency across multiple scenes Controlling chaotic group animation (zombies climbing, falling, crawling) Getting the right emotional facial expressions during rap verses Color grading and lighting to match the intended tone: dark, moody, cinematic Keeping audio and motion synced in an AI-driven workflow Rendering limitations and re-generating scenes to fix artifact glitches
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Completed a fully original hip-hop AI music video from scratch Successfully blended real-life emotional storytelling with fictional zombie world-building Achieved consistent character identity using video-to-video and masking Built complex scenes with multi-layered zombie behavior Created a unique emotional tone that stands out from typical AI zombie content
What we learned
Advanced prompting for action-heavy AI sequences Techniques for stabilizing faces and expressions in AI video How to merge symbolic storytelling with genre visuals The importance of world-building even inside short-form AI music videos How AI tools can empower personal stories to become cinematic experiences
What's next for The Last Redemption
Extend the video with an additional verse or bridge Create a full short film version expanding the father’s journey Release a behind-the-scenes breakdown documenting the AI process Prepare a full-length EP themed around survival, resilience, and fatherhood
