Inspiration

Our project presents a post-energy world where a small robot searches for remaining power in a barren environment. The idea was inspired by real-world energy challenges and the growing need for sustainable power management in robotics and technology.

What it does

Through this project, we explored key engineering concepts such as energy efficiency, battery utilization, and resource optimization. The robot’s search and testing process symbolizes iterative problem-solving — analyzing available resources, testing outputs, and selecting viable energy sources.

How I built it

We designed and built the 3D environment and robot model using a minimal yet intentional approach to highlight system functionality and environmental constraints. Lighting and animation were engineered to emphasize contrast between energy depletion (dark environment) and energy availability (green emissive batteries).

Challenges I ran into

One major challenge was balancing technical clarity with visual storytelling under time constraints.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We focused on simplicity, system logic, and efficient workflow

What I learned

the core principles of robotics engineering: test, evaluate, optimize, and adapt.

What's next for The Last Charge - The Merge

We hope our video resonates with everyone and earns a strong placement in the video competition. At the same time, our team is fully focused on designing, building, and programming our robot for the competitive stage of the FTC challenge.
