The Kraken Skalds

Inspiration

This was a commissioned project to help promote a Norwegian film, Kraken. As a social media project, the films contribute to extending the myth of the Kraken and educating or entertaining audiences about the fact that the Kraken monster and myth originates from Norway.

How we built it

The VO script was first generated in ChatGPT through a project tuned to the historical sagas and style of Viking kennings. Once the script was edited and revised, it was fed into a custom voice created with ElevenLabs. While listening to the VO, a custom cinematic style built in Midjourney was used to rapidly generate images to fit the poetic verses. These images were turned into videos through Google Flow and Freepik, using Kling. The project was edited with CapCut.
