Inspiration
I have always believed that small actions of good can change the world ,Yes it might sound cliche or typical but how come most of the people in the world end up being unhappy or depressed or anxious. If each one of us try make a small effort to make another persons day a little better ,an effort to spread the love, hope and happiness we have, we might even unknowingly fill someone elses heart who has lost all hope. And this concept ,The words in the Bible,Jesus is who inspired me
What it does
The prototype right now is really simple it generates kindness ideas that are easily executable and if they complete it and write about it gets verified and they get points.
How we built it
I have used a lot of AI and other resources to learn about how everything works and to write the code. I have also applied various concepts that I learnt in school. AI has really helped bring a structure to my idea.
Challenges we ran into
I didn’t have the proper hardware to run Chrome’s Gemini Nano AI locally, but I still wanted to understand how it works. So I built the whole logic around it with a fallback system that keeps the project working even without AI support.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Even without deep web dev background, I was able to structure React components, integrate logic, and understand fallbacks using AI tool like Chatgpt,Gemini and Perplexity.
What we learned
Through this project, I understood how to use AI tools to support creativity, problem-solving, and technical implementation, I also learnt how to carry an idea from just a thought to an actual web app built around my own concept.
What's next for The Kindness Project
-Add graphics. -Personalize kindness ideas based on journal entries — carefully, to ensure AI suggestions stay respectful of real-life emotions. -Introduce Kindness Levelsthat unlock as users complete more challenges.
- Build a mobile app version to make it more accessible and easy to use anywhere.
- Enable picture and voice uploads for journal entries.
- In the future, as AI evolves, integrate gentle verification using image or audio recognition to confirm real acts of kindness — keeping privacy and intent at the heart of it.
