Inspiration
I got isnpiration for this project thinking about the app i always wanted and i couldnt get from the internet. Sure you can pay adobe for editing your pdf, but should you?
What it does
My app allows you to edit the text of a pdf and also to add editable box to create more efficient documents
How we built it
I used ONLY bolt.new as editor, i used google document OCR , my beloved astrojs for the landing, PDF.js for the base editor and pdf-lib for some functions. I used the build in Supabase for storage, auth and edge functions.
Challenges we ran into
The pdf editor was a real pain, very difficult to get it working. Also debugging api usage and correct implementation of features was very hard. Sometimes you need to get you hand dirty with the code, even with bolt.
