Inspiration

To provide a better future by reducing carbon emissions in the Maritimes and other provinces and increase power generation for a more sustainable grid.

What it does

Assist in the build up of green power infrastructure on the island while staying true to green ideals

How we built it

Queried historic weather data from geo coordinates to get a yearly average kilowatt-hour output for a turbine based on it's power curve and other specs.

Challenges we ran into

AI for assisting detection of wind blockages. Generating a heat map with average historical data from many locations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Determination and completion of this project. Full team to stay over night.

Extend the application we have created to include a heat map of wind speed to help find candidate locations for wind turbines, and to reach other countries and allow for analysis of other green energy technologies
