Inspiration
The project was inspired by Felipe Guaman Poma de Ayala, a 17th-century Quechua nobleman who illustrated over a thousand scenes of Inca life in his First New Chronicle and Good Government. His drawings offer a rare Indigenous perspective on Andean culture during the colonial era. I wanted to imagine how these scenes might look if they had been filmed in real life.
