Inspiration
The ultimate underdog story inspired me. Eklavya is the original 'self-made man'. I wanted to explore the idea that true talent can’t be suppressed by institutions or rejection. It’s about a student who didn’t need a classroom to become a master, only his own obsession.
What it does
It shows that while Drona teaches technique, Nature taught Eklavya instinct. It proves that true mastery comes from within, and the tragedy is that the 'Master' feels threatened by the very thing he is supposed to celebrate: perfection
How we built it
I built it by focusing on visual escalation. I didn't want characters just talking about how good Eklavya is; I needed to show it. The rejection at the gate. I moved to the process: The montage of him sculpting the clay statue and training in the mud. I raised the stakes: The 'Hound' scene where he stops a dog from barking without hurting it—something even Arjuna couldn't understand. This way, when the climax happens and he cuts off his thumb, the audience understands exactly how much skill is being lost
Challenges we ran into
Video generation and continuity but as with fast-paced growing, many challenges were eliminated at roots
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm proud that I can make a film using AI, starting from scratch, single-handedly.
What we learned
I've learned that with grit and perseverance, we can achieve better outcomes
What's next for THE HONORARIUM
God's plan with Eklavya
