The holiday glow

This project is a creative 3D piece inspired by my favorite songwriter, Jay Chou, and his iconic song "三年二班" ("Class 3-2"). I’ve always admired how his music captures emotion and tells relatable stories, and I wanted to channel that same energy into a unique visual and lyrical project.

Inspiration The lyrics for my project were born out of my passion for storytelling through music. Jay Chou's style—blending nostalgia, raw emotion, and striking melodies—motivated me to create something that reflects my own experiences and struggles, turning them into art that resonates with others.

Challenges Building this project was not without its difficulties. One of the biggest challenges came from working in a team where collaboration fell short. My teammate chose a different approach to the project, focusing on a version that lacked cohesion with mine. She didn’t put in much effort toward the work itself, instead directing her energy toward pointing out my perceived disadvantages and even resorting to verbal bullying.

Her actions extended beyond the project, as she influenced my boss and other teammates by speaking negatively about me and giving them gifts. Meanwhile, I stayed focused on refining my technical skills, which inadvertently meant I didn’t engage much in managing these interpersonal dynamics.

What I Learned Through this experience, I realized the importance of balancing technical expertise with interpersonal relationships. While I prioritized the work itself, I overlooked the value of addressing misunderstandings and building stronger connections within the team. This project taught me resilience and the significance of maintaining self-confidence in the face of adversity.

How I Built the Project I designed the 3D components and crafted the lyrical narrative with an emphasis on personal storytelling. By weaving my technical skills into a creative project, I managed to bring a concept inspired by music to life, turning a challenging situation into an opportunity for growth and self-expression.

This project stands as a testament to perseverance, artistry, and the transformative power of channeling personal experiences into creative work.
