Inspiration

Inspired by my personal experiences as a college student.

What it does

The Hello App is an amazing platform that connects you with similar college students on an anonymous video call. You can openly discuss about your life and listen to them. If you really vibe with each other, you can further connect via the social section of the app.

How we built it

I used Figma to build the prototype.

Challenges we ran into

The major challenge for The Hello App would be to make sure that students actually get connected to someone when they want. However, given that there are over 200 million college students and over 600 million high school students, this shouldn't be a problem in the long run. In the short run, we can tackle this by collaborating with schools and colleges so that the app can be collectively launched to a huge amount of students at the same time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The app can instantly connect a community of over 800 million students in a healthy way without distracting them with an infinitely scrollable feed or distracting notifications.
