Inspiration
We wanted to explore the dark side of futurism—how technology, power, and immortality intersect with inequality. The story grew from imagining what people would sacrifice to live forever.
What it does
The Harvest tells a multi-timeline sci-fi thriller about a dying mogul harvesting organs, a baby rescued from his empire, and—40 years later—a mother and hacker son delivering justice.
How we built it
We combined AI-driven storyboarding, VFX previsualization, and gen AI filmmaking tools with traditional narrative development to craft a cinematic world across two time periods.
Challenges we ran into
Balancing a large-scale sci-fi world with intimate emotional beats, maintaining continuity across timelines, and integrating AI visuals with human storytelling were major hurdles. Some scenes AI just wouldn't do, it was very frustrating.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built a rich, believable 2038 world; created compelling characters across generations; and developed a unique AI-assisted pipeline that blends cinematic tone with fast production.
What we learned
That AI can accelerate visual worldbuilding but human creativity—theme, emotion, structure—remains essential. We learned how to merge the two into a cohesive workflow.
What's next for The Harvest
Expanding the story into a full series, refining the 2038 world, building interactive elements, and producing a polished festival-ready short using our AI-driven pipeline.
