Inspiration

Inspired by low-rated cooking Alexa skills for the echo dot currently in the app store.

What it does

The user selects desired recipe and asks Alexa for further instructions at a step-by-step pace.

How I built it

Using AWS Developer and Lambda coded with JavaScript.

Challenges I ran into

Implementing a next function without closing the Alexa Skill.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Learning a new language, learned how to communicate with the Alexa Dot.

What I learned

Learning a new programming language, participating in a hackathon for the first time, working with a team, and applying it to a product ie. the Echo Dot.

What's next for The Hacker Eats

Spending more time to update the app, fix bugs, survey people's opinions on the skills.
