Inspiration

We were inspired by dsc10 to create this passage through time. We adventured through eras to discover the dinosaurs that lived in these great times.

What it does

Our project focuses on visualizing the dinosaur traits and diets. We used our knowledge from dsc10 and beyond to explore the trends in the data. We also began to explore how random forest classifiers work and built a model to predict diets.

How we built it

First we utilized pandas to clean our data in order to be able to make visualizations and further explore our data. From there we used those visualizations to make a classification model.

Challenges we ran into

We struggled to find trends in the data at first but we were eventually able to find information through exploring new techniques.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of being able to learn a variety of new techniques and tools such as making heatmaps and classifers.

What we learned

We learned how to work as a team to build a project and discovered how to learn about new techniques through documentation and videos.
