Can Curiosity grab things? I don't think so. Or maybe it can... Whatever, the Green Beetle can! It's mechanical claw controlled by your own hand thanks to a specially engineered glove (using the technology of a flex sensor) will precisely pick up objects for you.

The claw is mounted on wheels: the car can be controlled from anywhere via the Internet with the help of your desktop, laptop, tablet or... even your phone! The Green Beetle body contains two micro-controllers: the Arduino Uno and the Galileo. The wheels are powered by a gear box and a DC motor. The mechanical claw is made of an aluminium alloy that is lightweight and strong at the same time. We built the prototype from scratch by reusing scrap material and our imagination.

Remember, anyone can use a helping hand... especially NASA and the CSA.
