What it does
We built a simple form where users can indicate their preferences and personal conditions. Based on that information, the application suggests the neighborhoods in Los Angeles that best match each user’s profile.
How we built it
We developed an interactive form that collects user data and sends it to a back end responsible for processing it and generating a set of recommended neighborhoods based on their characteristics. The communication between both parts allows us to return personalized results in real time.
Challenges we ran into
Connecting the back end with the front end was more challenging than we initially expected. None of us had ever worked on integrating both sides before, so understanding how to make them communicate properly was a real learning experience.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud that, despite being beginners, we managed to build a functional and well-integrated application. The project showcases our ability to learn quickly, solve problems, and collaborate effectively as a team.
What we learned
We learned a lot, especially about front-end development, since none of us had worked with it before. We also learned how to use APIs and how to better structure communication between different components of an application.
