Inspiration

I LOVE HVAC work! I hope to become a professional HVAC contractor one day and I wanted to create a nice tool that would help me, other contractors and customers take better care of their AC unit.

What it does

It is an AI powered HVAC diagnostics and reporting tool for professional HVAC service techs

How we built it

I used Swift, SwiftUI, and other sponsor APIs along with Claude Code, a lot of patience and coffee.

Challenges we ran into

The worst thing was that I recently started using Xcode 27, it just came out and I'm solo, so spending at least 3 or 4 hours getting comfy on the new IDE UI was time consuming. Its like being an author, participating at a writing contest and all of a sudden Microsoft Word launches their biggest change in YEARS. Well, something like that.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I feel like I made something that can help me out there on the field someday! Yay!

What we learned

Honestly theres SO MUCH that im not sure what to say and time is running out to submit this here on DevPost! I promise to answer this and more if I get a chance to present :)

What's next for The Gauge App

A feature that gives the customer the ability to see their HVAC tech arriving, like "an Uber" feature of sorts? That would be pretty cool because when your AC breaks down, I wanna see where my technician is, I don't know about you but I wanna make sure they don't get lost on the way! :)
