Inspiration
People rarely have knowledge about segregation of waste i.e.
- The organic waste(like vegetable and fruits residue) goes to green bin.
- The inorganic waste(like plastic bottles, cups) goes into the blue bin.
- The nuclear or chemically hazardous wastes(like acids etc.) goes in the red bin. To make more people aware of this in a fun way I have created this game that provides knowledge with entertainment.
What it does
If the player drops the falling organic waste into the green dustbin then the player's score increases.
How I built it
I used the basic concepts of Pygame and Python like lists, functions, random and math.
Challenges I ran into
I am completely new to pygame so had a bit difficulty in designing the screen when the player loses.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I always wanted to make this type of game in which player had to sort waste into right type of dustbin and I am glad that due to this hackathon I was able to design a basic framework of this game.
What I learned
I learned a lot of concepts of pygame like font rendering
What's next for The Garbage Game
I will add the _ You Lost!!! _ screen and then different types of dustbins as well to make the game more challenging.
Additional Comments
I can't upload a demo video as the pygame window is not displaying in the screen recording.
