Inspiration

Being in crypto since 2016 I have seen a huge amount of scams and malicious activity, no matter the skill level and cogsec faculties. This led me to wondering, "what if I could help people avoid the same mistakes and protect themselves from scams?" And so, FUDPLUG was born.

What it does

The FUDPLUG helps humans to keep their assets safe when interacting with the bitcoin ledger by notifying you if the particular action you are about to take is safe or high-risk. This allows you to make a more educated decision and catch red flags that you may not have otherwise noticed so that you can keep your sats safe.

How we built it

Just started, but we've utilized a suite of tools and platforms, trial and error, testing and implementation and can't wait to tell you more about the journey!

Challenges we ran into

Dev dropped off due to family issues and missing funds, which left the rest of the team scrambling to figure out lay-friendly solutions to achieve the project's objectives. Also, building a company under steward ownership is unattractive for VC/investors and finding the time and resources to work on this has been the biggest hurdle.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The fact that our team has developed a running bot without any coding experience is nothing short of extraordinary in our opinion. It speaks to the dedication of our team and should serve as inspiration to anyone out there that you can achieve amazing things - even if you have no idea what you're doing at first.

What we learned

AI is developing more rapid than crypto and tools for the average person to utilize to achieve things they couldn't have otherwise achieved are changing the world as we know it. We've also learned that a project such as this is very dynamic and we have a lot more to learn.

What's next for The FUDPLUG

finishing the PoC and then the MVP, working towards helping to protect as many crypto enthusiasts as we can from scams and FUD,
