The inspiration for The Forgetting Convenience Store came from a simple question: If given the chance, would we choose to forget our pain, even at the cost of losing our joy? This idea grew into a story about memory, love, and the fragile balance between suffering and meaning.

Through this project, I learned how generative AI can serve not just as a tool, but as a collaborator in storytelling—transforming scripts into imagery, voices, and music that carry emotional weight. The process showed me how technology can amplify human imagination while still demanding careful creative direction.

I built the project step by step: writing the script with ChatGPT, generating visual concepts with MidJourney, bringing scenes to life with Runway, shaping voices with ElevenLabs, composing the soundtrack with Suno, and finally weaving everything together through CapCut editing.

The biggest challenge was balancing AI-generated material with human intention—ensuring the film retained coherence, emotional resonance, and artistic authenticity. Through trial and error, I discovered that while AI can create possibilities, it is the human hand that must guide the heart of the story.
