Inspiration

Philip Nitschke's Sarco Pod creation and watching terminally ill people have unpleasant slow deaths inspired me to make this app that will help make one's last hours the most enjoyable in their life.

What it does

**THE FINISH LINE is supported by a mobile app which offers information as to the procedure and two options: Speak to a Counselor to learn more about why hysterically fun euthanasia may or may not be for you! Or “Patient Directives and Care,” which will immediately put you in touch with a provider team for a free tele-consultation. Once minds are made up, come on down to the nearest THE FINISH LINE clinic to sign your contract which requires at least, but not limited to, a two-week deliberation period between the time you sign and the date you die so happily. THE FINISH LINE app also offers an array of handheld games for anyone who just wants to waste time.

How we built it

VSCode was utilized in the building process with ReactJSX code.

Challenges we ran into

Due to the topic being very sensitive and controversial, I ran into a lot of road blocks which made me change the wording and utilize filtered language.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The information regarding resources was able to be displayed and I was happy to be able to display the most important principles and goals in the app.

What we learned

I learned how to format the statements and use filtered language. I also learned about the medical advocacy concept.

What's next for The Finish Line

Getting in contact with Philip Nitschke, inventor of Sarco Pods, to implement VR into the pods to create a wonderful experience for the patients.
