Inspiration
In an era of rapid technological advancement, it's crucial to find ways to make powerful technologies accessible to all. As a computer scientist, I recognized the need for a tool that could bridge the gap between technical experts and non-technical users, providing easy-to-use AI technology on demand. This led to the creation of TextGPT.
What it does
TextGPT is a mobile application that utilizes the latest AI technology to provide advanced text-based communication capabilities. It allows users to easily access the power of OpenAI via simple text messaging, enabling all levels of technical expertise to benefit from its capabilities.
How I built it
Throughout the development process, I kept simplicity as the top priority. I utilized cutting-edge technologies such as OpenAI , Google Cloud and Flask, to create a user-friendly experience for text input and output.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges I faced was learning and implementing Google Cloud. It was a steep learning curve, but I was able to overcome it with hours of reading and trial and error.
Accomplishments that I am proud of
I am proud to have created a functional and useful product that has the potential to improve communication for people all over the world. Additionally, I am proud of my ability to take on a complex project and successfully deliver a working solution.
What I learned
I gained a deeper understanding of GET/POST interactions and stack integration. I also gained experience in deploying a project on Google Cloud and using Docker. These skills will be valuable in future projects.
What's next for TextGPT
In the future, I plan to continue to improve and expand upon TextGPT's accessibility by implementing Voice-to-Text, secure communication, and improving the UX design. Additionally, I would like to explore ways to monetize the platform and make it sustainable in the long term.
