Inspiration

We live in a time of explosive data growth and time saving for getting information is needed to have competitiveness.

What it does

The Extractor delivers the summarized article We are creating a Google Assistant application called THE EXTRACTOR: A unique tool that summarizes any reading material such as news articles, course notes using Beautiful Soup which is a html parser, as well as Microsoft Azure's image recognition API which incorporates OCR to convert images to text.

Challenges we ran into

There was a server connection issue at the first time

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We made the server connection between Google Assistant and the python code for summarizing the given article using json data format

What we learned

What we learned from this project is how does the google assistant work, and

What's next for the Extractor

What we can improve from the Extractor is that taking the image files and return the summarized article with the high percentage of text recognition.
