Inspiration
We were inspired by The Enterprise Center's mission to help new and existing businesses to grow through continued education, loans, and more.
What it does
Our project solves several issues the Enterprise Center faced such as having to use a long list of digital tools and resources and struggling to obtain accurate information from clients.
How we built it
We used AirTable to create an app that allows clients to input their information themselves and sign into workshops.
Challenges we ran into
It was difficult coming up with what we wanted to create initially. Once we created the app, it was challenging to add functions such as an AI feature.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we created a functional prototype of an app. We showed what we would like the mobile version to look like and how it would look from an administrators perspective. Moreover, given the timeframe we had to come up with this solution, our team is extremely proud of the design, the rough demo app, and the anticipated impact of the app.
What we learned
We learned that time is extremely valuable and indispensable to non-profits. Sometimes people are doing the work meant for five people which limits the growth they can accomplish.
What's next for The Enterprise Center App
It has room for development through AI tools. As technology changes and improves, the app will update alongside it to better integrate AI and the databases. There can be more questions to ensure that the business can collect more data about its services. Further, in the future, the app can hope to include other collaborators of the Enterprise Center, and eventually to all of PathStone.
Summary of the Revisioning of the Enterprise Center

The challenge statement we chose and the mentors we worked with: We chose the challenge statement posed by The Enterprise Center. We worked with mentors Yahaira and Holiday.
Description of the working functionality of the product and how it solves the challenge statement: This app eliminates the need for people at The Enterprise Center to manually enter data allowing for accurate and up-to-date information. This reduces the need for other tools currently being used such as Jotform and Constant Contact. It measures the impact on businesses using survey data and relays this information to funders to prevent gaps in development.
Demonstration of how users might interact with the technology: The users would need to log in to upload loan application documents and/or check in to workshops. The AI bot can direct them to the appropriate resources after being asked. Loan resources and products as well as tutorials about the app are also available.
Marketing plan for how non-profit partners can market this solution: The non-profit partners, as well as The Enterprise Center’s clients, can be redirected to this app as opposed to emailing the information. The partners are highly encouraged to log in as outside administrators to input their data for their events and/or loans dispersed.
Financial plan for how non-profit partners might finance this solution: This is a low-cost option to centralize information. To finance it, the non-profit would need to have an app development team. Further, there are free app-making tools that can be used. Once a beta is made, it can be further updated.
Description of how non-profits can scale this solution over time: This tool can be used to generate grant reports automatically, giving time back to the people running The Enterprise Center. Administrators can also use the app to access real-time data on how clients are doing.
Describe how your solution promotes equity through accessible and inclusive design. Our app has a simple design to not overwhelm new users. It has large buttons and font sizes so that it is clear and easy to read.
How you used Al in the development, functionality, or user experience of your solution: We used AI to develop the prototype of the app by asking for specific things to be included into the app, including: capturing client data, creating essential forms, tracking time at events, and many more. We also hope to implement an AI chatbot into the app to help clients with any questions and concerns about the company.
