Inspiration

The End of Times was inspired by the terrifying speed at which modern war could begin through human error or digital deception. Reading Annie Jacobsen’s Nuclear War: A Scenario revealed how minutes, not hours, decide the fate of nations. The story explores moral courage in the face of global destruction and how one act of peace might rewrite humanity’s destiny.

What it does

The pilot sets the stage for the rise of a false savior — the Antichrist — born from the ashes of a world that nearly destroyed itself. Through a cinematic blend of realism and symbolism, it depicts the ultimate test of humanity: choosing compassion over retaliation.

How we built it

The project was developed by combining research on real nuclear response protocols with cinematic storytelling. Visual sequences were structured using AI storyboarding tools and screenplay formatting to build tension across three parallel storylines — the hackers, the global military response, and the U.S. president’s final act of action.

Challenges we ran into

Balancing realism with symbolism was difficult. Translating nuclear procedures into a visual language that remains gripping and emotionally grounded required deep research and multiple rewrites. Creating a believable yet morally powerful ending — where silence replaces violence — was the greatest challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We succeeded in transforming a complex geopolitical idea into an emotionally resonant narrative that feels both cinematic and philosophical. The President’s speech became a defining centerpiece — short, defiant, and human.

What we learned

We learned how fragile peace is in a hyperconnected world, and how storytelling can humanize global catastrophe. On a creative level, we gained experience weaving tension, realism, and moral depth into a short, high-impact format.

What's next for The End of Times

The themes of faith, manipulation, and human survival will drive the continuation of The End of Times into its next chapter.
