Before I made this video, I thought about many other concepts from different fields of science that I could make a video about. However, I settled on the Doppler Effect from Cosmology because I've always been deeply fascinated by space. The fact that it's something that we know close to nothing about has always intrigued me and will continue to intrigue me for years to come. The speaker, Cynthia Lu also inspired me to make this video because she described cosmology with so much passion and made me want to do what she does!
This video explains what the Doppler Effect is, and what scientists use it for. It even includes a couple of practice problems so the viewer can fully understand the concept!
I used Canva to create this video. Surprisingly, for a 3-minute video, it took a lot of time and effort.
I struggled to make the video longer than three minutes since I explained the concept pretty concisely.
Additionally, I'm really proud of the graphics and explanations which are super clear and easy to understand.
I learned a lot from this project because while explaining what the Doppler Effect is, I also reinforced the concept in my head which I think was really beneficial for me.
I'm overall really proud of this video and will definitely show it to little children who are eager to learn about space!
