Inspiration
The average person sees his family doctor right away if he notices any changes in his physical health.Every time we see our doctor, he or she records some information in his journal or looks up our previous records and records it there. In essence, it is mandatory for all doctors to retain certain basic patient data, but it is not always an easy process for doctors to remember all the given information. Along with this, COVID'19, a major catastrophe in the healthcare sector, has occurred. Common people frequently go to their family doctors for common symptoms like a cough, fever, etc. Hospitals preserve patient records using well-organized systems, but general practitioners do not. However, the information produced at this level is equally crucial for the early detection and prevention of infectious diseases. The field of medical innovation and research can also benefit from this information.
what it does
Therefore, we considered creating a platform that is both user- and doctor-friendly for general practitioners so they can maintain their patient data and get analyses based on them. We provide a complex application as a solution that will assist doctors in maintaining patient data, getting in touch with patients, getting statistics summaries, and chatting with other medical professionals in the area.
How we built it
Flutter is going to be used for UI/UX design. We intend to use Firebase for our backend services because of its outstanding flutter compatibility. For the platform to be quicker and more user-friendly, we are planning GetX.
Challenges we ran into
It is challenging to compile the data that doctors record. Since different doctors take different notes and omit some of them, it can be challenging to identify particular elements among them because we don't have a lot of knowledge about the medical industry. Choosing appropriate and effective data structures was also a difficult task.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are able to devise effective methods for data storage and statistical analysis.
What we learned
We acquired the skills of working within a time frame while simultaneously improving performance.
What's next for The Doctors' Book
We intend to include a direct messaging capability. The patient will be notified via this feature one day before their booked appointment, and both doctors and patients can message one another directly. In order to directly alert the government medical agencies about the hazard, we want to identify it through a monthly reported symptom graph.
